The following are picture books about Chinese history, people, places, and inventions.
These are some books about Chinese poetry from the Song and Tang Dynasties:
We have an English translation of some of these stories...but there are many of them. There's both a 上 and a 下 but we only have one of them. They are a bit hard to find.
This is a series about Chinese history going through each dynasty and is much longer.
Finally, this books talks about life in "Old Xi'an" which was probably in the 1800s, 1900s, until maybe the 1980s or 1990s.
