Sometimes the couple are dating but don't have enough money for the wedding or dowry so he kidnaps her and they elope. There are lots of reasons for this. This is one girl's story (fictional). Stories from America's Geography for KidsThis book goes through each state, telling what makes that state interesting, a bit about the geography or history of that part of the country through stories. Each part has its own drawing of famous places in that area as well as map questions for each state. This book is a good geography reader but you’ll also need either a good map of America or atlas of America to answer the map questions. The purpose of map questions is to encourage students to take a picture of the map in their mind and note key geographical points or places on that map. This book is meant for 4th-6th graders. It’s my goal to help geography come alive and be interesting for students.
  16. North American Animals For Kids. Follow Samantha as she has to write a report about a North American animal for school. She looks at 15 different animals. What Was Life Like in The Early Church? This book explores how it was like to be a part of the church in the first century AD. We look at where they met (usually in homes), how many people met together at a time, how their church services were like, persecution, if children were part of the church services, and how much it cost to write the letters of the New Testament. This book is a great introduction to the book of Acts and the letters of the New Testament. It should help students understand how life was like for early Christians.

It starts in the middle of World War I and continues through the last 100 plus years, all the way until the COVID pandemic. Read about America’s recent history through stories, first hand accounts, famous poems and pictures. There’s a huge section at the back for notes and sources.
