We went to the beach yesterday (the one we can walk to) and found lots of beautiful rocks. The beach is right where the river runs into the ocean. We also saw some rocks with holes (that we've seen before) that had seashells in it. The seashells must've got come in when they were little and then grew inside the rock.
This blog highlights books and resources for learning about Chinese history and language for children. I hope it's also an encouragement for other homeschool families who are homeschooling bi-lingually or who want to add in some Chinese history into their homeschool.

Big Trees
A few weeks ago we went to the Redwoods; they are so beautiful. The kids kept saying "Wow!" because they had never seen such huge trees. We've also been to the beach a few times (a few beaches), been working in the yard, started homeschooling again, and joined a homeschool co-op. My daughter's taking ballet and the boys are doing martial arts at the co-op. It's such a huge blessing to have a co-op here that's so organized and has so many fun classes for the kids.
