Start of the 3rd term

 We just started our 3rd and last term for this school year this week. Our 1st grader did really great in a few of his classes this week, especially math. Yesterday was the Lantern Festival, which usually marks the end of the Chinese New Year festival. People get anywhere from 5-10 and even up to 14 or 20 days off for Chinese New Year. By now most people are back to work and kids start back at schools here early next week (some have already started this week).

Chinese New Year

 Happy Chinese New Year! This year has been very unusual because most people travel a lot during the Chinese New Year to go to their hometowns but this year very few people went because of the virus. 


Apple Pressing

The local museum has a day in the year when people can bring in their apples to press into apple cider (apple juice). Today was that day and...
