We just started our 3rd and last term for this school year this week. Our 1st grader did really great in a few of his classes this week, especially math. Yesterday was the Lantern Festival, which usually marks the end of the Chinese New Year festival. People get anywhere from 5-10 and even up to 14 or 20 days off for Chinese New Year. By now most people are back to work and kids start back at schools here early next week (some have already started this week).
This blog highlights books and resources for learning about Chinese history and language for children. I hope it's also an encouragement for other homeschool families who are homeschooling bi-lingually or who want to add in some Chinese history into their homeschool.
