We went to the park yesterday. This used to be the zoo here and they turned it into a park. In many cities in China they've moved the zoos from small places (and made those small places parks) to huge areas outside of the cities. Most of the zoos were moved years ago (15-20 years ago or so).
This blog highlights books and resources for learning about Chinese history and language for children. I hope it's also an encouragement for other homeschool families who are homeschooling bi-lingually or who want to add in some Chinese history into their homeschool.

By the river
We went to visit my husband's family yesterday and stopped by the river. His sister knew a great place and it was beautiful. The kids got good cousin time. They don't see their cousins here often, even though they live only about a 30 minute drive away. Their cousins are super busy. We hope to go back to the river for a walk in the fall when it's not so hot!
Also, on the INK (Illustrated Newspaper for Kids) website (www.inknewspaper.net), all of my PDF books and the INK subscriptions are on sale for 20%.
